Piccolino - Plastic Floors with Concrete Slat Inserts

To provide weaners above 30 kg with the possibility for a rougher claw abrasion, it is possible to install into our Piccolino-Plastic floors specially designed “Concrete Slat Inserts” in combination with our weaner plastic slats.

For this at the desired position in the pen some of the “Piccolino 450/451” (450 x 800 mm)
or “Piccolino 800/801” (800 x 800 mm) plastic slats are replaced by the concrete slat inserts.
The Concrete Inserts of matching dimensions are placed onto specially designed carrier strips between the remaining plastic slats.

To make sure that the weaners cannot lift the plastic slats, the concrete slats have to be
5.0 mm higher than the surrounding plastic slats.

Concrete Slat Inserts can be retrofitted into existing Piccolino-Plastic floors at any time.
For this a modification of the supporting structure (metal bearers) is not required.
